Place clips in sequence according to timecode
Posted by Ron Grev on June 19, 2019 at 8:08 amHello,
does anybody know a way to place may footageclips in one sequence according to the (clip)timecode?
In Premiere Pro its possibble over Mulitcamera Clips, in AVID its called AutoSequence – but how to do inside AE?
Thanks a lot.

June 20, 2019 at 9:18 amThanks for the answer.
If someone else has an idea that would be great! Possibel with a script?
Background: I render longer animations over Netrender on several machines in blocks.
These Blocks have to be put together again ….Thanks Ronald

June 20, 2019 at 10:01 amHow about using Premiere’s multicam sequence as you describe, then flattening it, saving, and importing the Premiere Pro project into After Effects?

June 20, 2019 at 10:22 amthanks, yes, that’s how I do it now. (Replace with after effects composition)
But I need it currently almost every day, so a solution within AE would be desirable …..

July 3, 2019 at 3:08 pmRon, I’ve written a little script to sequence clips according to timecode in Ae, but it needs some testing. If you’re interested, let me know how to get in touch with you and we can give it a spin and squash anybugs before I release it publicly.
