Pixie Dust Tutorial
I am hunting for a pixie dust tutorial that just uses the built in particle emitter in AE6 Pro rather than great plugins like Trapcode Particular.
Need pixie dust to spray from a fairy wand like glitter…

Here’s the easiest I know of, a great one from Rick Gerard, comes with aep:

This is with Shatter and more for a flying fairy, or moving wand.
You can make the particles smaller with Scatter, jazz it up with Glow, change the colors, tweak away.
Another Cow solution is by Dan Ebbert’s (one of my favorites), make your own dust particles in Photoshop, then go to the moving emitter 1 and 2 comps here:

There are other particle system solutions, that I don’t have/use, maybe someone else can get back to you on.
Scatter is a great way to break up particles if you use one of the resident CC emitters.
