Hello guy, I have a ideia for a video but I don’t know how to do it on AE.

I want a pixelization effects, how could I explain, it’s like a comp beign build by lots of large pixels.

I found an example in this video

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXR4Nt_zGBA&feature=related

At 0:03, you can see the solids start to fade out its pixels. So, I want to do something like this, but in the reverse way. Instead of fading out, I want them to “build” the comp.

    How can I do it?

a quick way would be to use an existing image or try something like fractal noise to generate a texture. then add the mosaic effect to pixelate it and the threshold effect to make a black and white matte.

animating the threshold ‘level’ can create the reveal.

you can use that as a track matte for another layer, or an effect like unmult or set channels (or similar) to key the black out and then add the fill effect to fill the alpha with a color.

I can’t believe the solution was in my Effects and Presets window lolol

Tryed block dissolve and it was incredibly easy.

    Thanks for your help, Kevin!
