  • Pixelation when video is shrunk to be smaller.

    ok..
    1) I shot a video using the XA10..
    2) Imported into Vegas 10e timeline..
    3) used crop/pan to zoom OUT to make the video smaller.
    4) I added title scroller, and zoomed out on to make it smaller
    5) when i rendered my video here is what I got: https://tinypic.com/r/mcy988/5

A Pixelated mess! I have never had this problem with cheaper cameras. Any solutions? This has to be broadcast ready.

I get the same thing when using pan/crop. Try using Track Motion instead. You can click on the track motion icon for the video track and see a similar box like you do for the pan/crop. Here you can make it smaller without the pixelated mess. I think track motion is the better way to do this.

You need to use the Track Motion to do that Raf, otherwise
thats the result you gonna get.

ok.. i tried track motion…It still became pixelated. Text and video are both pixelated.

I am shooting in 60i. But I only need SD for the broadcast. So, I am rendering to the standard MP2 that the CW requested.

side note: When I am shrink my $80 Sony HD cam (MP4) it looks perfect pre- and post rendered. Kinda pissed that a $2k camera is being out done by a $80 HD cam. :/

Ok, I figure there has to be something going wrong. or maybe a bad configuration??? here is the link to the video portion that i shrank:

No, you probably have some configuration set wrong or something,
hard to say which. But that clip shouldnt be pixelated if done
    correctly.
