  • Pixelated Logos in FCP Help!!!

Posted by Rebecca Gordon on April 6, 2005 at 11:58 pm

    Hi all,

I am doing a project in which I am bringing logos in to FCP. The logos have several layers and they are
sized around 1000 – 2000 pixels wide and about 500 – 600 pixels tall. I have been re-scaling them to size in FCP. The logos look fine in Photoshop of course but they look pixelated in FCP. Why?? Do I need to re-scale them in photoshop
and then put them in? Thanks!!!

Do they look okay on the video monitor?

Graphics scaled below 35% in FCP don’t seem to hold up very well. Photoshop scales excellently with Adobe’s bicubic sub-pixel sampling.

    Don’t worry Mr. B. I have a cunning plan…

Thanks for your reply!! I found a solution. In FCP I resampled to 72 dpi from 300, then made them approximately the size I need in FCP. Seems to work. Thanks!
