I have a 10-bit uncompressed movie clip that I need to do some painting in AE. When I import it, it’s fine, but once I drop it in the comp, it pixelates, (edges and it softens) like it is reading only one field. The file is PAL 10-bit Uncomp, and the comp is D1 PAL. I have rtried square pixels but it makes no different. I am using AE 6.0. Help would be great, as a client is coming by to see the painting, which I can’t start…
    cheers

Would be a good thing if you started by describing us your comp settings.

have you interpreted the footage in the project window? and maybe it looks edgy in the comp because PAR correction is turned on? or maybe you’re not viewing it at full res? or maybe some layer switches are on draft?…….
