Pixel sorting effect in C4D
Hi all,
I’m quite new to Cinema 4D, still discovering the software. I was looking around on twitter and found these Beeple stuffs :

I’ve tried first using a Mograph cloner and cubes, but it’s way too heavy on calculation, and the objects don’t morph with the figure like it is in the images/video.
Then i’ve tried to use HAIRS on my figure, but i couldn’t find a way to get that look..
Can anyone help me with this? Or give me some links that might help me?Thanks a lot!

He apparently uses animated displacement maps created in AE using Pixel Sorter.
