I’ve been trying to remember if this is even possible…..

I recall reading once that you can import a piece of video into AE, then choose 1 pixel from any frame, and have something else “stick” or “follow” that pixel. For example, you could place a new logo over an exisiting logo within the shot (like if it were on the side of a truck or something), but because you are following 1 pixel, the logo would automatically move with the pixel you choose, even if it goes out of frame. Is this possible? Or do I have to move my logo frame by frame?

    Thanks!

YES!!! Thank you! I could not think of the actual name of this for the life of me.

One question though….you need AE Professional to get this feature correct? I am running and older version of AE 5.5, and I haven’t upgraded to pro. Is there any other way I can get this same effect without upgrading? Does motion do anything like that?

    Thank you!
