I’ve re-installed CS2 on a different PC and every time I open a tiff I’ve exported from After Effects I get a dialogue box that appears saying:

“Pixel aspect ratio correction is for preview purposes only. Turn it off for maximum image quality.”

I then have to change the pixel aspect ratio for each tiff or jpeg which is a bit of a pain! What can I do so that photoshop just opens the files at their correct pixel aspect ratio? Please help!! Many thanks.

That makes sense, assuming that you’re using non-square PAR in AE, which is normal. If you’re going to take the TIFF or JPEG files back to AE, you shouldn’t be changing the PAR to square, leave it as is. If you’re repurposing the image for print or web, then you probably do want to set it to square pixels.

The help files for AE have a good explanation of pixel aspect ratios, or you can read Rick Gerard’s article on Creative Cow here:
