    hey
there is probably a simple answer to my question but am just a bit confused with aspect ratio.
i am creating an animated project in after effects, i am using scanned images from photoshop and importing them into ae. my photoshop files have square pixels.
when i bring my images to after effects i am changing my composition settings to dv pal. in the interpret footage setting do i set my images to dv pal setting or square pixel setting?
    thanks

You interpret the images as they are, not to the shape of the comp where they will be going.

So … since they were square, interpret them as square. AE will make them look good in the comp automatically.
