I’m confused about how to handle mixed pixel sizes in AE.

I’ve got a talking head shot against green screen that was digitized as 720×486 .9 D1 size.

I also have Camtasia screen capture footage that is square pixel.

The talking head is in a comp that is 450×450 and the screen capture is in a comp that is 840×404. I used D1 and square pixels respectively for each comp.

Both pieces need be put into a comp that is 840×404 square pixels that will then be exported to an .flv and integrated into a Flash project to be shown on a computer monitor.

When I combine the two into a single comp that I will export as an flv, the talking head looks skinny in the square pixel comp.

    Is this correct?

Just to check, are you definetly interpreting the footage in AE’s project window? Find the talking head, right-click and choose Interpret Footag… and change the pixel aspect ratio there.

    Yes Graham,

It’s interpreted as lower field and D1.
