    Hope I can explain this ok I take any clip open event pan crop I make the clip 1/4 the size pip I close event pan crop I right click the clip on the timeline I open Event/FX & open Sony border and place a beveled border on thr 1/4 size clip (Now the problem) if I need to reuse that same clip at full size any where else it has the border on it if I remove the border FX from this clip it also comes of the 1/4 size pip I wanted it on
    what am I doing wrong

    It sounds like you’ve applied the Border FX at Media FX level, which would affect the clip wherever it is used. If you apply the FX at Event level, it will only affect that event, and another instance of the same media elsewhere would not be affected.

    Get the Border FX dialong on the screen. At the bottom of that dialog box is a timeline and to the left of that timeline is the word “border”. To the left of the word Border is a small triangle. Click that triangle. This is the pre/post toggle flag.
