Pillaring in MPEG-2
I re-opened an old project that rendered perfectly to H.264. It plays through on the timeline perfectly (no pillars). However, when I render to MPEG-2 the slides are just slightly too ‘narrow’, such that I get a thin ‘pillar’ of the underlying video track showing up on either side of the slides.
The footage is AVCHD from a Canon HF S10, transcoded to Cineform .avi. My project is HD 1080-60i (1920 x 1080, 29.970fps), Upper field first, Pixel Aspect Ratio 1.0000 (Square).
Under Render As, I selected MPEG-2, NTSC Video Stream. However, the description reads: 29.970 fps, 720×480 Lower field first, YUV, 6MBps, PAR 1.212. I do not see anywhere to change these settings to match my project. What can I do?
