In the video I created, the still photos I used (each run about 5 seconds) show up fine in the exported file. However, on the burned dvd, the pictures will flash for about 1/4 of a second, and then the rest of its alloted time, the screen is blank. Is this a problem in the burning, or a problem in the exporting, or is there a setting to change in Premier Pro.

It’s a problem in the importing. I had the same problem recently. My workaround: I rendered the fime to NTSC DV, avi file. Then I imported it into Encore and transcoded it in Encore instead.

I also apply flicker removal to each still to avoid this annnoying flickering on each still noticed only in the final burned DVD disc.

Here is when I face one of the PP cons: apply an effects to multiple clips or stills; by means flicker removal, still duration, a dissolve between each and so on!!
    Maybe in the next version!
