I want to resize my picture box by typing in th evalues for width and height, but I don’t want to scale the image that’s in it at the same time. I just want my box to expand or shrink. How do I do it? I constantly get this question from Quark ‘switchers’ and I cannot answer that.

If you’re typing the values in the Transform palette, you want to de-select Transform Content in the palette menu. If you’re using the Scale Tool, de-select Scale Content. If you’re entering the new values in the Control palette, you will also de-select the Transform Content option in the palette menu. Hope that helps!
