    Hi,

I’m rendering out an animation in ae6.5 that is to insterted into director as an intro. I’m just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for render settings. I’ve been told that pict sequence with the lowest frame rate i can get away are the best so i’m wondering what the advantage of using picts are over jpgs or pngs as picts have so much higher file size per frame.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

It’s been a long while since I’ve worked in director, but perhaps using a quicktime, or mpeg or even a Flash flv would give you the best performance.
Unless you need absolute colourprecision (codec colour drift) or need to reuse elements of the intro seamlessly in your interface, I’d think about doing true “video”

Thanks for the reply. Yes i think the colour precision thang had something to do with it as the animation needs to seemlessly lead into the interface. But i was actaully thinking a swf would be best if i can get the file size down enough?
