  • pict sequence field sep or no?

i ‘m rendering out 3D animations as pict sequences from cinema4D that are set to be field rendered, 30fps. i’m using after effects to then render out that pict sequence to various quicktime D1 formats, usually lower field dominant animation codec. i’ve just been importing the pict sequence as footage into afx and dropping it into a D1 29.97 comp and rendering it out. anyone know if it’s necessary/correct to interpret footage & field separate the pict sequence when importing to after effects for something like this, and should the 30fps pict sequence really be interpreted to 29.97 at that point?
