  Pickwhipping source text does not allow alignment

  I have a piece of text that i want to equal another piece of text so I simply pick whip the Source Text property so that it will equal the other. The only problem is when I do this the alignment changes to left aligned no matter what. Even if the master text is center aligned or right aligned the text I have receiving the source text property only stays on center aligned. Does anyone know a way to change the alignment to what I desire while still retaining the source text of another text layer?
