Pickwhip to parented layer problem…
Hi,
Im doing some fairly simple animation of a 2D marionette puppet, I thought I could use the BEAM effect to create the puppets strings by linking the BEAM startpoint to a ‘Hand’ layer’s anchor or position value for example I could move the hand and have the BEAM (string) follow it.
BUT… my hand is parented to an ‘arm’ layer which in turn is parented to another arm and then the body of the puppet, so the BEAM start point isnt using the ‘hand’ layers actual position and is miles away from where I want it to be.
If anyone understands what I mean and has a solution that an expressions novice can use i’d be most grateful.
