    why do everytime that I bring in a picture, it is zoomed in on? I end up having to go resize it? It is a jpeg file.

    for one thing, if you need it for tv, etc, so what. It makes it a very high res and you can do some great camera work. It has to deal with the high res that you have on the pic. I love making pics with extraa room for work.

    but don’t forget bigger files = bigger render times. If I’m not zooming in or anything I will resize the photos in photoshop so that my render times are kept low.

    The picture is not “zoomed” in on. the picture is merely being imported as the image size that it is. If you import a picture that is 720 * 480 into a comp that is 320 * 240 the picture is obviously not going to fit into the comp.
