PHP – PDF list on web site to share with others
Hello,
I posted a problem an needed help before with an issue and the problem got solved so I thought I would asked again since I got such helpful information before.
Anyways I have a client who is wanting to have the capability to upload PDFs to his site and allow them to be listed on a page for anyone to download (no need for security on that end).
But I want to know if it is possible to have a page he logs into and then has a forum to enter the name of the document(what people see on the web page) and the document itself to upload, maybe even a date but I am not sure if that is relevant right now. He will want to purge certain documents after a while as he sees fit to take up less storage.
The bottomline is it will be an web page with just a list of documents sort of like this site https://www.ntsb.gov/Publictn/Pub_list.htm but not as boring I guess, but similar.
I am assuming he will need a login of course to prevent anyone from uploading to his site.
If anyone has any suggestions or knows of maybe a software program available, preferably free, that can do this, that would be very helpful. I am not sure what to even call this sort of thing as I was searching under PHP file manager but I just kind programs that handled sharing and transferring within a group which is not what I want.
https://www.solitude.dk/filethingie/ had an idea for simplicity of use but does not help on the end of automatically inputting them to a web page so it will not work on that end.
Any help would be appreciated as to pointing me in the right direction to figure out this situation.
