Photoshopping with vegas
Usually I’m using vegas also for pothoshop, I’m cutting out a part of a image with masking but I need of some tool who will allow me to remove some parts that I don’t want, it’s possible ?

In Masking mode/key-framing, change the Path>Mode setting to Negative.
Negative – will cut out the interior of the selection and leave the exterior.
Positive (default) – will cut the exterior of the selection and leave the interior.
