I’m working with some layered PSD files with ‘vector smart objects’ in them. These are basically raster images that (i believe) have been converted to smart objects for non-destructive scale/rotation transformations in photoshop. When I import them into AE, they behave as normal PS layers. There’s no option to collapse transformations, and the scaling and rotational information isn’t carried over. I want the ORIGINAL raster image in its pristine form (no scaling or rotation baked in). Currently i’m going into photoshop and doing an ‘export contents’ on every single layer, then importing those into AE and swapping them in for the vector smart objects. Is there a faster way?
