Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Expressions Photoshop script?

So if I render out a sequence of PNGs from AE and import into Flash, Flash interprets them as HUGE, apparently because “pixel per inch” has not been defined in the AE PNG.
Opening, then saving the PNGs in Photoshop fixes the problem, and that can be done as a batch “action”.

But would it be possible to have a script either:

Tell AE to render each PNG then tell Photoshop to open-save each file. Can you script across the 2 apps?

Have Photoshop “watch folder” the destination of the AE files and perform the open-save?

And does anyone know if this AE-Flash bug was addressed in CS4?

you can script across applications, but i think you need to use visual basic (windows) or applescript (mac), apple’s automator may work too.

since you’d like the ae render to finish prior to the ps batch action to avoid issues/crashed, it may be easiest to just create a droplet from ps for the batch operation. then once ae is finished rendering, you can just drag the folder containing the png sequence onto the droplet. it’s an extra step, but only one…

You can actually script across Adobe apps using BridgeTalk, but I am not sure if Flash is included.. You can also check out ps-scripts.com
