Hello, I just got a Decklink Extreme card and can’t figure out how to get a preview of my Photoshop work onto the Monitor connected to Decklink. The Decklink Import/Export functions also remain a mystery to me. Can anyone help out?
    Thanks,
    t

    At least on the Mac:

FILE -> EXPORT -> BLACKMAGIC IMAGE EXPORT

Then choose NTSC or PAL from the pulldown menu

Just a short note. Once the export option is selected, your broadcast monitor will only display Photoshop’s artwork. In order to get the desktop view back so that you can drag a window onto the video desktop, option-click while selecting the export option and click ‘Cancel’.

    Hi Thomas,

You also need the DeckLink Macintosh v4.8 drivers from the Support page of our web site. They are the first version of the drivers to include the Photoshop plug-ins.

Thnks for the answers. I have the 4.8 drivers and since i put Decklink Im- and Export into the plug-ins folder I get the options in the im- and export menu in Photoshop … but … they don’t do anything. I select it, the menu closes, that’s it. I’m on 2x2GHz G5 with 10.3.9 and Photoshop CS. Where does the PhotoshopHelper.bundle go btw?
    Any help is appreciated!

    The DeckLinkPhotoshopHelper.bundle goes into ~/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/Blackmagic DeckLink/

It should be automatically installed. But if you’re having problems, try reinstalling the drivers again. Do remember to uninstall the existing drivers by using the “Uninstall Blackmagic” tool before installing the new drivers to minimise any conflicts.

Thanks Kristian! My fault, for some reason I assumed it would go into the Plug-Ins Folder as well. Now it works!
