Photoshop not working right when tablet is plugged in
Don’t know if anyone here can assist me with this, as I am using rather outdated tools, but I will give it a shot! I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out all week!
I have a Late-2013 Macbook Pro (macOS High Sierra) and using Adobe CS6. I was given a brand new Wacom Intuos 5 touch tablet, and I sure was excited to start drawing away on it!
Problem is, it works fabulously on all apps, except for Photoshop (the one I use the most!!). I have ‘Undo’ and ‘Step Backward’ programmed into my Express Keys. When my tablet is plugged in and I open up Photoshop, I can draw brush strokes with my pen perfectly. However, none of my Express Keys respond, and I can’t even use any hotkeys (like Command+Z) on my keyboard, as nothing happens. But as soon as I unplug my tablet, the hotkeys/keyboard start working again on Photoshop.
My Intuos (both pen and Express Keys) have no problem at all in all other applications that I have tried – Illustrator, After Effects, Flash/Animate all synchronize very well. It is only Photoshop that is the problem. (Whyyy does it have to mess with the one I need the most!)
I have read up on other help forums online and tried many things — updating my Macbook system, installing both new and old versions of the Wacom driver, and resetting Photoshop preference — but to no avail.
If anyone here can lend me a hand in solving this, I will appreciate it so very much! Thank you!
