It’s possible to do in many instances. This tip was posted elsewhere and unfortunately I’ve forgotten the author’s name, but it’s a good one:

“Here’s a quick and easy way to automate your workflow. It works much like creating makros in MS Word or Actions in Adobe Photoshop.

Go to CommandManager > search for ScriptLog and hit “execute”. That’s your “Recording Window”. All the commands and tools you execute in Cinema4d will be listed here. When you’re done simply copy/paste the list of CallCommands into a new and empty script, save it and assign it to a hotkey or button in your interface. And there’s your c4d makro/action.”

Hi, i tried to make a script like the suggestion above, but it doesn’t seem to record things like moving layers? I put a spline into a loft and made it editable and it handled that fine, except for the spline being put into a loft bit.

The reason i wanted to make a script is because i have imported ALOT of vector paths from illustrator and want to make the splines into poly’s as quickly as possible rather than going to each one and putting them in lofts and making them editable.

Any help would be mucho appreciated.
