I have been helping with a edit on someone MBP and I created some lower 3rds and switched up a logo for this edit. I import the PSD file with 4 layers in it and they aren’t showing up. It is a flat image. Then….

I had them come to my house to have the MBP and my PS in the same place to see wha was wrong. So this time he didn’t bring the correct drives, he brought a LACIE RUGGED with a different edit with the same footy. I imported the PSD and the layers showed up in that timeline. I’m confused. 🙁 lol HELP! lol

try exporting a .tif with an alpha channel or .png with an alpha channel. Bring one of those into FCP and see how that works.
