I have Photoshop CS2 and AE 7. When I import my .psd file in AE it loses all the names of the layers that I created in Photoshop. Am i doing something wrong? I would hate to retype the layer’s names in AE too.

    Thanks.

Are you Importing the psd as a Composition (checkbox)?

I have PS7 and no problems (names and Blending modes the same as in PS), should be the same with CS2, methinks.

It must be an AE7 or CS2 thing, I’ve got AE6.5 and PS7, so maybe someone with AE7 and CS 2 can help, looks like I’ve just muddied the water. Hard to believe AE7 can’t do what 6.5 did when importing psds.
