I’m having trouble with Photoshop docs I bring into FCP, especially text. Everything comes in OK, but the problem is the bounding box that exists in Photoshop (the box around the text that lets you resize, etc in Photoshop) comes across into FCP, so when I apply an effect, like a light rays, it wont’ go outside the box and makes some bad looking edges.

I hope this makes sense, does anyone know a way around this?

The only real way around it is to nest the layer. Then drag the nest up to your viewer to add effects.
