  photoshop filter gallery

  Just started using Photoshop CS5.1 (Creative Suite CS 5.5 Master Collection) and when I attempt to use the filter gallery or certain individual filters I get an error message –

  The operation could not be completed
  A file system I/O error has occurred

  I am working on a Mac Pro quad core Intel 1.33GHz and 6GB of Ram
