Photoshop File Layers
Greetings:
I am trying to import a PS file into Motion, and preserve the layers. Usually, the option box will pop open if you hold the file over the canvas and wait. For some reason, this is no longer working. I have tried to find some preference setting that I might have inadvertently changed, but have found nothing. Anyone with help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

First make sure you have more then one layer in the PSD. If you do have more then one layer in the PSD then I’ve found restating Motion fixes it. If you don’t want to go that route you can alway right click on the Project Pane or Timeline and choose Import. Or go up to File, Import. Or you can use the short cut keys. Anyways…once you pick your psd you will get an option to choose the layer or All Layers. Then click on OK. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Also make sure the PSD in is RGB – Greyscale or CMYK won’t work

Hey Mark & Stephen-
Once again you guys have saved me much time and headache. When I went to confirm my file was RGB, I noticed it was a 16 Bit file. I switched it to 8 Bit, and that did the trick.
Anyway, appreciate you guy, and your insight.
