    Hello everybody,

I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out why my render of WMV or compressed AVI ALWAYS freezes when it comes to photoshop files on my timeline.

The only time it doesn’t freeze is when I render AVI uncompressed.

My plan in going to be to export that section AVI uncompressed and replace it on the timeline.

    but….

I would still like to know why it freezes when exporting photoshop files. Anybody have any ideas?

    – Thanks

how big are the files? It may be that they’re absorbing too much RAM.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Some of them go up to 45 megs. I was thinking it could be a ram issue but why doesn’t
it crash if I export AVI uncompressed but does crash if i export to other compressed formats?

    Thanks.

[thayer Radic] “Some of them go up to 45 megs.”

    That’s WAY too large.
If these are PSD files, change them to PNG.
Also, unless you’re doing deep zooms with them, drop them down to no more than twice your project size (i.e. 1440 x 960 pixels) and Vegas should behave much better.

Because the compression codecs use more RAM than the AVI render.
