  • Photoshop Dodging and Burning in After Effects on Alpha? Help me please

Hi there is a great feature in photoshop that I am trying to get work in After Effects (I am posting here because no one at the AE boards can help, so I thought I’d try here, sorry if it isn’t the right forum). I am trying to dodge and burn the Alpha channel of my Image in AE like you can in photoshop in order to clean them up ‘relatively’ painlessly (thanks for the tip, Richard). I am getting more and more convinced that this is an oversight in AE. because in AE If you try to draw on an alpha with a brush set to a blending mode it always gets applied in normal mode. In PS you can use colour dodge or vivid light for example to push the bright areas of an alpha to white but in AE it seems you can’t, although seemingly you should be able to. Sorry if it’s a bit off topic.
    Bye
    Pete
