Photoshop CS2 not loading….
Last night I had no trouble with Photoshop CS2.
Today, it will not complete loading…. Stops at Reading Text Global Resources…. and ~20 seconds later,
screen turns while and not responding comes up.Tried shutdown, restart. Same.
Other programs run fine, including PPRO V2.0….
Did a quick scan of event log…. nothing unusual, or pointing ot hard drive.
I’ve never had Photoshop CS2 do anything like this.
Suggestions???

With some great off-line help, a corrupted Setup file was found… OK now.

Hi Jan,
I have the same issue today. So frustrating. Can you tell me the exact procedure you followed to get the file cleaned up? Seems strange we’d have the same bug. Thank goodness for the Cow!

OK. Found the answer on Adobe’s website, now that I know I’m not the only one. It was a “delete the preference file” answer. Try this:
Error “Reading Text Global Resources” and freeze when you start Photoshop (CS2, CS on Windows and Mac OS)
