I do production with robotic Cameras (Sony BRC SERIES & Panasonic AW-HE100) that don’t have a built in recorder, so no timecode. This would be a perfect solution for me. I could fit 7 of them in a rack to ISO my cameras. Offload the media to FCPX, and have my edits done in no time at all.

This unit’s layout has my vote, too!

More problematic will be the issue of Assemble and Insert edits… but there has to be a way.

If BlackMagic wants the Studio to truly catch on as the “Tape Deck of the Future,” it will need these mods.

After a rocky beginning, we’re starting to find more and more uses for it.
