Photographs “shrink” when rendered as MPEG2
Hi Everyone
We are new to editing in Sony Vegas Studio but we have used Adobe Premier Elements for many years so have some idea of the basics.
We are currently editing a wedding video. It has some still photos embedded within the movie. These appear to completely fill the screen pre render. We have resized them to the 16×9 widescreen ratio and also we have selected match output aspect in the crop and zoom properties. They appear to pan and zoom well in the pre rendered video without any part of the movie showing behind.
The problem which occurs is when the movie is rendered as an Mpeg2 the photos seem to have “shrunk” and we can see the edges of the movie running behind the photo on both the left and right edges.
We experimented with a render in WMV and the stills remain the correct size and no problems occurred. However, the perceived wisdom is we should render in Mpeg2 so has anyone any suggestions about what we can do?
Many thanks in advance
