photo montage
Posted by Cj on January 8, 2006 at 8:25 pmI am using M100 8.2 on a G5 with OS 10.3.9 and would like to add some movement to photo montages. I do not have AE and would like to know how I could get the Ken Burns effect on some photos in a montage. Thanks all!

I second John’s suggestion. I did it with Boris FX, some version of which must have come with your Media 100, a long time ago, so the details are a bit sketchy, but look in the Boris manual for the largest supported still import size (4000 x 4000 I think). That gives you plenty of room for “pans, tilts and zooms”. Don’t forget the “ease-in ease-out” parameter and the results can look pretty good.
If you don’t have Boris, you could look at Moving Picture from https://www.stagetools.com/

Its crude but, you can drop the photos on the graphics tracks and add custom motion keyframes (scale, crop, opacity and position) to them with M100.

January 15, 2006 at 5:26 amif you want to go ultra easy, create your montages in imovie, then export/share out to quicktime and import into m100i. good for quick and easy ken burns effect
