    Hi,
I have created a photomontage in premiere with a lot (500+) of still shots. I have set markers on the timeline to the beat of the soundtrack that I have added and placed the stills at these markers.
When I play back the film in premiere, the slides/stills are perfectly in time but I can’t for the life of me figure out an export setting that will keep it in time. Everything I try looks and sounds great but the timing is way out. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I am looking to export one smaller version for the web and then a high quality version which will then be projected.
    Any help much appreciated,
    thanks.

The only thing I can think of has to do with the size of the pictures you’re using in Premiere. If you’re using 8 MB pictures at full resolution times 500 – that could need an extreme amount of processing power and might be causing your problems.

Try working on a new section, but bring the pictures in at the default size 720×480 and see what that does.

    Hi Terry,
Thanks for the response. The pictures are only 720 x 480 so that shouldn’t be a problem.
    Just can’t work it out!

In a pinch you can dump it back to your DV camera then re-import and see if it works better that way.

Things should not be out of time when exporting so there’s some funny business going on.

    Good luck
