has anyone been able to work successfully with phantom flex cine files on the resolve. ?

i converted my cine files to dpx on the mac resolve, and moved it over to my linux box. however i seem to have lost a lot of detail especially in the whites and mids. usually with phantom files you can recover all the details by bringing up the highlights and blacks or vice versa.

I did a test, unfortunately i can’t post up the images due to it not being aired, on a windows computer using a phantom converting program. so i took my cine files converted it to .mov. moved it to my mac resolve then converted it to dpx. with that workflow, i was able to get a crisp file with all the details attached to it. but the conversion and moving process took hourssss of my time. am i doing something wrong in my initial conversion process from cine to mac to linux or is resolve mac not able to convert cine files just yet.

I thought the Phantom .cine files were supported raw on the last couple of versions of Resolve??
Drop the files in and see what happens??

Previous to the support I used Gluetools to get the best picture and all the Metadata, but the payoff was that it took forever to convert them all!

At the time I couldn’t find anything else that would give me a good quality image.

Resolve loads phantom cine files and interpret it as log. I use arri alexa logc2rec709 LUT and picture is premium.

    Hi,

seems to be a Problem/hidden switch in Resolve 11. I used to import/export *.cine-Files as LOG in Resolve 10 and before.. They always looked RAW. Since Version 11 of Resolve i cant get *.cine files in like before, they always look like REC.709. No matter what the Camera-RAW-Settings are set to.

any Ideas / suggestions on this?

Just updated to DaVinci_Resolve_Lite_11.1b1_Mac. The Gamma-Setting is where expected. Now Iam able to set the Gamma system-wide, project-related or even for each Clip..

Just curious if you have updated to 11.3. I am experiencing the same issue. All Flex4K footage comes in as Rec709 not the Log I am expecting. Multiple system running both Davinci and Davinci lite.
