Hey everyone it’s been a while since I posted as I was away doing some other assignments. In my rare downtime I actually got to watch some TV and could not help to notice an annoying trend,(to me anyway) whereas the editing is upfront and the content is secondary. One particular program on history was trying to create much more drama and mystery into the subject than the original ever had. They would constantly quick zoom on the subjects eye, quick focus blur then blur pan with dramatic sound to something else. The sequence was so predictable that I made my wife crazy calling the shots. The obligatory black and white slow motion with camera shake gave me nausea. My wife made me change to channel… I’m also a pilot and can’t watch any flying movies with her either. I guess it goes with the territory.

OK that’s enough of that… hope everyone is well. Good to be home again.

I understand and agree with your points perfectly Joe,
Also numerous times find myself feeling nausious from
seeing the usual overused visual effects on television.

Quality Content is lacking much in certain of these areas.
You realize that most of the times, the movies that does
really well in theaters are those that have a strong and
    meaningful storyline?

Quality content first, followed by just a sprinkle of
visual effects is what really works
    …..lol
