Pesky Affiliate clips!
I’ve got a series of projects put together by another editor who didn’t name his files very well. I’ve created a master project with all the master clips named the way I want them and now I want those names to be populated out to the other editors sequences.
Since they’re all pointing to the same media, and according to the manual, bringing the sequence into the main project and choosing “Tools>Create Master Clips” should rename all the affiliates in the sequence the same name as the master clips already there (and, in fact, when I tested this on one of his sequences earlier, it did just that).
Now, however, all it does is create a new folder of master clips with Master all using the names he had in the sequence.
With all that argle-bargle, can anyone understand and possibly help me out with this mess?
