I am trying to find a way to have a organic type light source that runs perpendicular with the screen – as if coming from a movie projector. I have tried to use lens flares, light burst and others but have not been able to find something that works. Can someone “enlighten” me please..

    Thanks in advance,
    bS

What exactly do you want to see? It sounds as if you want a volumetric lighting effect. If you don’t want to spring for a 3D app for that, you’d probably have to buy Trapcode’s Lux plugin. Trapcode’s Shine plugin can fake it, but it might not be good enough for you.

oops! I think I meant to say parallel not perpendicular. I want the light source to travel across the screen, not out towards the viewer.

    Sorry about that,

thanks, totally wasn’t thinking of LUX – I believe that will work for me.

    thanks again,
