and i know there probably is an easy answer
ok when i put a new layer style on anelement in my design ex: a stroke, the generic red stroke appears bu the style box or function controls are missing…the page locks up…and the only way out is to push enter !
the remedy ?

Is this on a text layer? Perhaps there’s a corrupted font on your system (which can wreak all kinds of havoc).
Have you tried this on other files?

yes it happens with all fonts…
it wasn’t on a font layer
for example
if i want to put a stroke around a picture or object
frustrating because i’m pretty sure it’s one little thing !
