I’ve got a Ciprico Media Vault 2.5 TB RAID 0 and as you can see below its not even half full. I’ve been having some performance issues lately with some ProRes HD clips. I thought is was because is was full HD 1920×1080 ProRes 422 clips. But then I tried creating an offline edit of the same footage using ProRes Proxy and I’m still having issues.

My issue is mainly playback. The video can’t seem to keep up with the audio. I know once a drive or RAID set up hits abouit 80% you start to loose performance but I not there yet. I haven’t had this issue in the past because my set up was plenty fast enough for ProRes material and even 720 uncompressed HD.

Any ideas? Any test I can run other than disk utility, which verification was fine.

Are you running the latest Intensity Pro drivers? Does your Video Output settings match your sequence settings? Does your sequence settings match your clips’ settings? Have you deleted your Final Cut preferences?

Try the AJA System Test (https://www.aja.com/products/software/) and see if your RAID is having trouble reading and writing to the drive.

Thx Tony. My output settings, sequence settings and clip settings always match. I make sure of it. Downloading latest Intensity Driver now. Hope that helps. But its not just output from the card to the TV, but playback in the canvas on my monitor as well.

read/write speeds look normal. see below.

sorry also forgot the image for the first post.

Ok. Let us know if the driver fixes it. Also, try deleting your Final Cut preferences and cache. I’ve also seen this issue when one of the PCI cards got loose in my box so that could be something to check, too.
