Peppermint Streamers from an Object ?
Hi CC,
I have a situation where I’m using AE and C4D lite and I’m pretty sure I can do what I want to do but my concern is process.
Hypothetically I want a flagpole that can emit a candy striped banner while it travels. Meaning I need a setup where a stick or line can generate multi-colored (non-gradient) bands while it moves through space. Even dots or lines would give me a place to start.
That is to say as if this “pole” emits even colored stripes from it’s axis as it moves. As if it were a striped banner generator of sorts.
If anybody can help point me in the right direction, I’d be stoked. I’ve worked several hours on this project and plan on spending many more. Having this fulcrum of info would really help.

I’m not sure what you want the banner to do after it’s emitted, which is important in considering how to make it, but I’d consider having the pole reveal a striped layer, using either a track matte or animated masks.
