Anybody out there put a Penta and Flanders side by side? I know “better” can subjective term so I won’t ask which is “better”. Just wondering as a grading monitor if one is more accurate than the other or if they are about the same. I have a FSI LM-2461W and am interested in something larger like the Penta 47″ as an addition to the suite or a potential replacement. Feedback appreciated.

    Thanks

I have an FSI 2461 and 55″ Penta in my suite.

They’re certainly very close, and I can’t say which is more accurate.. I’d be comfortable making decisions off either of them. For a large client monitor, it’s tough to beat. The Penta is too far away for me to be comfortable with it as a replacement/only screen, but I much prefer it to the Panny Pro Plasma it replaced.

I love 24″ Penta i have in my clients suite.

I have not seen them side by side.

Accuracy you can measure with calibrators.

We got 1% accuracy on Penta rec709 what in my book seems pretty accurate ?
    Class 1 i’d say.

To have really accurate client panel 47 or 55 is the way Penta guys suggests you set up your
suite as then you have 2 panels on the same technology and they can be calibrated to match.

Clients always ask if this monitor is accurate and what would you like more than having 2
    panels that are identical ?

All plasmas seem bad compared to the Pentas imo.

    Brandon –

Curious what’s the price point for that 55? Looking for something in that size for upgraded client monitors
