Pencil writing text FX
Hi all,
I was wondering if anybody knows how to create a text effect where the text appears as it is beeing written.

You can do it using an animated bezier mask to reveal the writing over time.

Thanx for the quick response Gary! Ive used this feature before to reveal a travel line on a map, but that was easy because it was a stright line and easy to mask. If I use the mask bezier will it look like someone writting in the order they would really write, for example in cursive you would write the word then dot the i’s and cross the t’s, or will it just look like a linear wipe as the font is revealed?
The look im goin for, i saw (as part of the end credits) on the end of the 24 TV series DVD’s (at least on the latest season that was released).

You can have a lot of control. Also, you can have multiple mask areas at one time.

I think Bluff-titler has a plugin/add-on that allows this.

But since the bezier mask came out I think it was Vegas 5, it’s a lot easier and you don’t need to do a flash version.
