Peculiar margin cursor in Avid 2019 bins

December 5, 2019 at 3:42 amHey there,
I’ve just started using Avid 2019 this week (2019.11.0), and I’ve noticed something that isn’t mentioned in many “what’s new” tutorials – and I’m very curious to know what it’s for…
When I open up a bin (in list view), there’s an icon that sits on the column strip at the top of the bin. It looks similar to a “margin cursor” in microsoft word. It’s a vertical line, with an upside down triangle at the top. See screengrab:
I can grab it, and drag it left and right along the columns, but it doesn’t seem to affect anything. Does anyone know what that’s for?

December 5, 2019 at 4:02 amColumns to the left of it will stay in place as you scroll horizontally. For example, the NAME column will always stay in view when scrolling to the right to see more column metadata.

Thanks
