Hi I am exporting a video and wav file from Avid as a quicktime file into sorenson squeeze then squeezing the video and putting it in to Reel DVD. The problem is for some reason the pcm audio file is mono. I have been burning tons of DVD’s and this hasn’t been an issue but all the sudden, mono. Not sure what setting somewhere is messed up. Any ideas? Thanks,

Either Avid output or possibly squeeze is doing.

check your export settings on both.

It is definetly coming from the conversion from avid to quicktime file because when I check properties of the audio file associated with the export it says mono. Go figure. I have the audio in the timeline set at mid so it is stereo and I have checked the settings a million times and they look right…

so Avid audio export is definitely stereo but creating a mono
    track?

What version of quicktime are you running? That might be part
    of the problem.

Is the Audio Mix Tool in Avid set to “Mono Mix”? You must be on “Stereo Mix” if you want to export stereo regardless of how the tracks are built in the timeline.
